3/28 - ETC Presents a New Stage Adaptation of Tennessee Williams’ Baby Doll -- Opens 4/13 ... Ensemble Theatre Company (ETC)’s critically acclaimed 2016-17 Season continues with the steamy and sensual dark comedy, Baby Doll, by Tennessee Williams, adapted for the stage by Pierre Laville and Emily Mann. Based on the 1956 Golden Globe and BAFTA Award-winning film of the same name, this rare Tennessee Williams gem runs April 13 through 30, 2017. The production is directed by Jenny Sullivan, who returns to ETC following her much lauded production of I Am My Own Wife.

3/28 - Just Announced - Hudson, June 9 at the Lobero Theatre ... This all-star band calls themselves Hudson, named after the Hudson River Valley they each call home. Drummer Jack DeJohnette, bassist Larry Grenadier, keyboardist John Medeski, and guitarist John Scofield team up to celebrate their musical histories and Jack’s 75th birthday year in a tour de force of creative interplay. Fans know them as hard swinging jazz masters; deft and creative jam purveyors, rocking funky groove maestros, each musician at the top of his game. It’s rare that so impressive a group of individuals finds time away from their own projects to tour together.
3/28 - The whales and dolphins are abundant ... The chronicles recording the adventures of the Condor Express continued today with sightings of 7 northbound gray whales and at least 200 long-beaked common dolphins. The marine for weather and sea conditions was not particularly great, but Captain Eric reports that the wind and swells stayed well offshore. Luckily, the whales and dolphins are abundant inshore this time of year. Two trips left the SEA Landing docks in Santa Barbara.

3/25 - Cetacean sightings were fantastic ... The Condor Express ran two trips today with very nice sea conditions and good weather. 10 gray whales, 100 long-beaked common dolphins, 25 Pacific white-sided dolphins and a lot of California sea lions were observed in total. Cetacean sightings were fantastic.
9am ... Right away our first 2 gray whales were spotted just off Leadbetter Beach. They gave good looks but were a little bit shy. Soon an additional 2 gray whales popped up just west of the first sighting. The second pair moved at a steady pace and showed their tail flukes often. Later about 100 common dolphins found the boat ...
